Salt Mine Tour
The Salt Mine Tour by Salzburg Panorama Tours takes you to the more than 500 years old salt mine in Berchtesgaden, where you can learn about and see the world underground. This 4-hour tour starts in Salzburg and takes you via the Alpenstrasse and along the Königseeache up the Obersalzberg. Upon arrival, you will receive protective clothing before the mine train takes you a quarter mile (650 m) into the mountain. Many exciting highlights await you there: the magical salt room, a raft ride across the Mirror Lake, the Salt Cathedral, and more.
After the salt mine and before the drive back to Salzburg, you will have the opportunity to explore the picturesque town of Berchtesgaden at your own leisure.
