Find out all there is to know about the rural buildings and the way of life in the Province of Salzburg from the 16th to th 20th century at the open-air museum Salzburg, situated in the Untersberg Nature Preserve.

A wonderful excursion destination close to the city of Salzburg featuring 60 farmhouses, barns, mills, craftmen's cottages, alpine pastures, some dating back 500 years. Interesting permanent and special exhibits, a variety of events and handicraft demonstations will guarantee that your visit to one of the largest attractions in the Salzburg vicinity is a memorable open-air experience.

Here you will find over 50 original farm buildings from the province of Salzburg, some dating back five hundred years. Farms, craftmen's cottages, village school, blacksmith, mills, saw mill, alpine pastures, chapels, brewery. Old tractors, steam engines, equipment. Impressive exhibitions and special displays. Diverse handcraft demonstations. Traditional events, folk dancing afternoons, gatherings of folk musicians. Historical inn with garden and wooden pin bowling alley.
